Common Ground

A brand new circus comedy project for 2023, Common Ground combines the thrill and risk-taking of contemporary circus with irreverent humour. Through film and live performance, explore the ideas that matter to us right now: why we build hierarchies, the slippery nature of fairness and why it can be so hard to find common ground.

This energetic and tongue-in-cheek piece invites you to decide who will become ‘The New Face Of Circus’. It will ask questions we usually choose to avoid and leave you laughing even though you’re not sure you should.

The film is a lead-up to our live show that will be touring in Brixton (Brixton House) and Haringey (Bernie Grant Arts Centre) in 2023-24 – As a local organisation we thought the project and film launch might be something your audiences would like to know about.

Here is a link to the film on their YoutubeInstagramFacebook or Twitter pages, and you can also find more info on the project here.

We all want to make it.
Make it in our chosen career. Maybe make it big.

Sometimes perhaps just make it to pay day.
But whatever our ambition, what unites us all is the desire to thrive, be recognised – and be supported.
And that’s what Lambeth’s Creative Enterprise Zone is all about. Supporting creative people to do amazing creative things without having to leave our amazingly creative corner of south London.
Because we all want to make it – of course – but more than that, we want to Make It in Brixton.
