Make It in Depth: Karen McLean

Karen McLean’s multidisciplinary practice is informed by her experience of growing up in the Caribbean during the 1960s. Through a variety of media, she explores themes of displacement, identity, capitalism and ethics, home, ideologies, modernism and globalisation.

Ahead of her show opening at Brixton’s Block 336 gallery we spoke to Karen about the work she would be exhibiting, her influences and what to working during the lockdown.
