The Old Vic – Front line

Front Line is perfect for young people who want to explore a career in theatre or hospitality but aren’t sure of their next steps or are interested in learning transferable skills through front of house work. No experience is necessary, and we particularly welcome applications from anyone not in education, employment or training.

Participants will:

  • take part in an induction workshop with Old Vic staff to prepare for work
  • see the Old Vic production they will work on for free
  • complete four shifts shadowing various roles in our FOH teams. Shifts are paid at London living wage and are organised around participant’s schedules.
  • take part in a next steps workshop focusing on their future goals, including CV writing and interview skills

We are looking for six people to join us alongside Sylvia from 13 February – 6 March. To apply, there is a short application form to complete, applications close at 12pm, Friday 9 December.

Full information and the application form can be found here: https://www.oldvictheatre.com/discover/early-career/front-line/. If you have any questions, or if any young people need any support, please contact me, or my colleague, Monique, at frontline@oldvictheatre.com or on 07739 630698.

We all want to make it.
Make it in our chosen career. Maybe make it big.

Sometimes perhaps just make it to pay day.
But whatever our ambition, what unites us all is the desire to thrive, be recognised – and be supported.
And that’s what Lambeth’s Creative Enterprise Zone is all about. Supporting creative people to do amazing creative things without having to leave our amazingly creative corner of south London.
Because we all want to make it – of course – but more than that, we want to Make It in Brixton.
