Visual Arts & Curation Course

198 Contemporary Arts and Learning are excited to start their ‘Fast Forward into…. Visual Arts and Curation’ course on Thursdays and Fridays, starting in April. The course is for Lambeth residents aged 18-30 who are not in full time employment or education and are looking to get started in a career as an artist or curator.

The core course will be 3 weeks long and will consist of a series of workshops delivered by industry professionals, with accompanying creative employability skills sessions looking at things like CVs, portfolios, cover letters, project proposals and more.

During the programme you will be introduced to key elements of the sector and will work on developing an exhibition/arts project.

They also offer one-to-one support and group sessions as you make applications and land that job, contract or place to study – whatever your goal! Whether you’d like to update your CV, have your portfolio reviewed, write a cover letter, funding application or project proposal – they got you!

We all want to make it.
Make it in our chosen career. Maybe make it big.

Sometimes perhaps just make it to pay day.
But whatever our ambition, what unites us all is the desire to thrive, be recognised – and be supported.
And that’s what Lambeth’s Creative Enterprise Zone is all about. Supporting creative people to do amazing creative things without having to leave our amazingly creative corner of south London.
Because we all want to make it – of course – but more than that, we want to Make It in Brixton.
